Brussel, 7 februari 2017 \u2013 De Brussels Art Fair (BRAFA) sloot op zondag 29 januari haar deuren met een nieuw record. De internationale kunstbeurs trok tijdens de 62ste editie in totaal 61.250 bezoekers, een stijging van bijna 6% ten opzichte van vorig jaar, met een sterke aanwezigheid van buitenlandse bezoekers. Onder de verkochte topstukken een Maori-bijl uit de Rockefeller-collectie, schilderijen van Paul Delvaux, een 19de-eeuws Hemba-beeld en Ab- straktes Oval, 2014, van Thomas Schu\u0308tte. De volgende editie wordt van 27 januari t\/m 4 februari 2018 gehouden in Tour & Taxis, Brussel. Meer informatie: www.brafa.art<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cDeze nieuwe vooruitgang verheugt ons\u201d<\/em>, vertelt Brafa-Voorzitter Harold t\u2019Kint de Roodenbeke. \u201cEen bezoekersrecord bij elke editie is op zich voor ons geen doelstelling. Deze constante vooruitgang toont aan dat ons evenement steeds aantrekkelijker wordt.\u201d<\/em> Hij vervolgt: \u201cDeze mijlpaal kan enkel maar de positie van Brafa versterken ten opzichte van de grote Europese kunstbeurzen\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n

Voor de meeste exposanten – totaal 132 afkomstig uit 16 landen – is deze toename vooral merkbaar aan de buitenlandse bezoekers. Niet alleen uit Frankrijk, Nederland, Duitsland en Luxemburg maar ook uit landen als Zwitserland, Engeland en Rusland meldden zich in Brussel veel belangrijke kopers.<\/p>\n
